The Loss of EMF – a rehearsal complex for artists and musicians

The loss of the EMF rehearsal complex on Brookline Street is to many, the last nail in the coffin of an autonomous arts community. Of course it is not completely dead, but it’s gasping for air, and for many, the hurt and the disappointment are extreme. This disenfranchised community feels abandoned by a city they love and at war with the “pillars of society” who preach “Refugees Welcome Here” but practice “only if you can afford it,” which you can’t.

The 35th Annual MayFair has been concluded on Sunday in Harvard Square with a huge success.
One of the biggest events in the Spring Season of Harvard Square on Sunday, thousands of people enjoyed three stages of music, dance troupes, food from local Cambridge restaurants, a chalk art gallery, and entertainment for all ages.

Dance Complex's 5th annual festival

On December 29-31 2017, Dance Complex held it's 5th annual Winter Wonder Dance Festival. Dance Complex's Creative Program Manager, Rachel Roccoberton informs us on how the event is set up and who are the guests stars teaching the classes. The festival welcomed all dancers, beginners to advance level to learn a variety of dance such as ballet and interpretive dance. The Dance Complex will be expecting another Winter Wonder festival and other festivals again in 2018!

Cambridge's Lynch Family Skatepark During Winter Months

Even during winter months, skaters of all ages and levels enjoy Cambridge's Lynch Family Skatepark tucked away at 0 Education St, Cambridge, MA 02141.

As long as temperatures are above freezing and there is no risk of frostbite, skaters say there is no reason not to. On Tuesday, December 19th it was warm enough to skate in a t-shirt.

The park has been open for just over two years now, and has a supportive, friendly vibe for skaters of all levels.
